DISTRICT ATTORNEY-ELECT KIM OGG HIRES RENOWNED PROFESSIONAL FACILITATOR TO MANAGE OFFICE TRANSITION

For Immediate Release
November 25, 2016

Harris County, Texas - District Attorney-Elect Kim Ogg has tapped corporate organizational development specialist Dr. Rad Eanes to oversee the transformation of the District Attorney’s Office into a public safety driven, evidence-based office of prosecution.

“I promised Harris County taxpayers I would be a good steward of their taxpayer dollars and that professional integrity would be a guiding principle for our lawyers,” said D.A.-Elect Ogg. “The Harris County District Attorney’s Office employs 697 people. Dr. Eanes will lead the transition process.”

H.Rad Eanes III, Ph.D. has more than thirty-five years of experience in corporate human resources and organizational development. Dr. Eanes is the former Chief Human Resources Officer for Entergy, a Fortune 500 company, as well as Texas-based Harte Hanks Communication.

D.A.-Elect Ogg has already begun to evaluate current processes, personnel, and organizational structure. The final personnel decisions will be made by Ogg and her upper management team in the coming weeks. Following the Thanksgiving holiday, Ogg’s team will be given access to personnel and case information needed to make critical decisions required of the new leadership.

Significant policy changes, such as Ogg’s marijuana reform measures, will require restructuring of certain processes. Kim Ogg as D.A. also means a cultural shift for an office that has seen six different District Attorneys over the past decade. Dr. Eanes will assist Ogg in the implementation of her vision, as outlined during her campaign, to ensure safety, fairness and justice in a criminal justice system that has failed too many.

The second phase of transition, also to be overseen by Dr. Eanes, will include the participation of subject matter experts and community volunteers charged with the task of identifying long-term problems and operational solutions will begin shortly after Ogg takes office on January 1, 2016. More information on the Transition Team and how you can participate is found at www.kimogg.com.
